Ann is an active community volunteer and participant in Houston’s robust performing arts community. A cellist during her youth, her affinity for classical music continues as a supporter of the arts, and she is thankful for the numerous opportunities within Houston to attend concerts and support our city’s talented musicians. Ann believes it is important for everyone in the community, especially children, to experience the enrichment music can bring to life.

As a dedicated Houston Symphony member, Ann has given her time and energy in various roles within the organization. Ann is a long-time member of the Young Associates Council and recently completed a two-year term as the chair of the YAC Steering Committee. She also is a member of the Houston Symphony League Board, Special Events Committee, Collector’s Auction Committee, and the Houston Symphony Legacy Society. Ann and her husband Jonathan are excited to chair the 2021 Houston Symphony Wine Dinner and Collector’s Auction, which will celebrate their love of both music and wine.

Ann served as the 2018 Houston Symphony Ball Auction Co-Chair, which raised record-breaking funds to benefit the Symphony’s Education and Community Engagement Initiatives. In 2019, Ann and Jonathan served as After Party Chairs for the Society for the Performing Arts Ball. Ann is an honoree in the 2020 Houston Chronicle Best Dressed class, and she also is a supporter of the March of Dimes and the Houston Methodist Society for Leading Medicine.

Ann enjoys her involvement with the University of Houston Moores School of Music, serving as a Moores Society Trustee. She is looking forward to co-chairing the 2020 Moores School of Music Concerto Competition with Jo Dee Wright, which will showcase the Moores School of Music’s talented students.
