Orchestral Audition Institute for Strings

Kirsten Yon, director

A focused 'boot camp' for orchestral excerpts often required for audition lists. Daily sessions focus on prescribed excerpts and end with a mock audition.  Master classes by guest faculty focus on audition solo preparation (Concerto Expositions and unaccompanied Bach). Guest speakers, audition preparation panels, a culminating Mock Audition, and a faculty chamber music performance round out the institute's offerings.

Dates: June 14-19, 2021.  All sessions will be held on Zoom.  The final faculty concert will be held with a limited, live audience in the Moores Opera House, and it will be livestreamed and available for at home audiences on YouTube.
