The PERSPECTIVES Faculty Chamber Music Series returns in June 2022, featuring performances by TMF artist/faculty and guests.

Perspectives: Faculty Chamber Music
Verona Quartet, with Brian Lewis, Kirsten Yon (vln), Wayne Brooks (vla), Eunghee Cho (vcl)

Superstar Verona Quartet opens the TMF season with works by Beethoven and Gabriela Lena Frank, and joins TMF faculty to perform Mendelssohn’s beloved Octet.

Program: Ludwig van Beethoven: String Quartet in F major, Op. 18, No.1 (1799); Gabriela Lena Frank (b. 1972): Leyendas (2001); Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847): Octet for Strings in E-flat major, Op. 20 (1825)

TMF Faculty artists and guests perform chamber Music for Winds, including scintillating works by Bartok, Jolivet, and Dohnanyi’s romantic Sextet in C major.

Perspectives: Faculty Chamber Music
(re)Discovered Composers with Brian Lewis, Kirsten Yon (violin), Wayne Brooks (viola), Anthony Kitai (cello), Eric Larson, double bass, Sasha Potiomkin (clarinet)

Antonin Dvorak came to America and hailed the music of African-American composers as the future of Classical music. This concert explores those connections in Dvorak’s String Sextet in G Major, Op. 77 and features Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s lush Clarinet Quintet.
