Moores School Percussion Ensembles Concert: Time Secrets

Wednesday, February 19, 2025

7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

One of the final works by iconic modernist composer George Crumb was his percussion quintet, Kronos–Kryptos (Time-Secrets). This compelling percussion quintet sets the tone for a program of works drawing from folklore, myth, and ritual, presented by Moores School Percussion Ensembles I & II. Included is Joe Moore III’s Ojo, which takes its title from the concept in Mexican folklore of mal de ojo, or “evil eye.” The program concludes with Twilight Offering Music, a sprawling work by MSPE I director Blake Wilkins.
