Pick a Date, Take a Buddy Voting Initiative - Virtual Town Hall Meeting

“Pick a Date, Take a Buddy” is a UH Get Out the Vote Initiative to help voters with a weekly informational guide to register and vote in the November 2020 election. This initiative includes a weekly update of steps for voters to participate in to check their registration, register to vote, research their ballot online, pick an early voting date, and take a friend to vote on that early voting date.
This initiative begins with a Live Virtual Informational Town Hall hosted by KGMCA Friday, September 18, 2020, at 4:00 PM. A TEAMS link will be made public before the meeting. Karen Stokes, Director of the Dance Program, and Toni Valle, Professor of Practice in the Dance Program, are Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrars. They will be giving a presentation on how to register to vote, followed by a Q & A.
The second event is an on-campus Voter Registration on September 25, 2020, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. A Voter Registration table will be set up outside of the Lindall Finley Wortham Theatre. Anyone is welcome to come to register to vote, change your address status, or check if you are registered.
