Glenn Taylor
Instructor, Arts Leadership Program

Glenn Taylor is passionate about helping aspiring difference-makers become high-impact leaders. He works as a certified coach, facilitator and teacher, supporting rising leaders and entrepreneurs in strengthening their leadership presence to make a bigger impact within purpose-driven organizations. He also helps teams to better collaborate, communicate, and navigate change.

Taylor, a jazz pianist with an undergraduate degree in music business, began a career in arts marketing at the Houston Symphony. After becoming the director of marketing, and later chief marketing officer, Taylor discovered a deep interest in the challenges and opportunities of leadership, which propelled him to pursue formal training in leadership development and coaching. In 2015, he left the Symphony after 11 years to become a full-time entrepreneur, running his own firm called Skybound Coaching & Training.

Taylor received his Master of Science in organization development and leadership, and is a credentialed coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF). He serves as an independent leader coach and coach trainer for Rice University’s Doerr Institute for New Leaders, and is a leadership coach for Vanderbilt University, University of Texas and a variety of nonprofit and corporate clients. In addition to playing jazz piano, he’s also a swing dancer, sci-fi/fantasy nerd and enjoys performing the occasional magic trick.
