Dr. Jhih-yin “Diane” Lee has served as an art educator at all levels in formal and informal educational settings—including public k-12 schools, art museums, non-profit organizations, and higher education—both in Taiwan and the United States. She holds an M.Ed. in Art Education from the University of Houston and a Ph.D. in Art Education from the University of Georgia. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Award and Excellence in Teaching Award from UGA.
Lee’s research centers on pedagogical approaches that facilitate media literacy and civic engagement through critically examining and creating digital visual culture to promote diversity and social justice. She has presented her teaching and research through book chapters, journal articles, and conferences.
