A Message from the Provost

Dear UH Community,

Spring 2022 is drawing to a close, and what a semester it has been!

In recent weeks, we commemorated our institution’s many accomplishments during my recent address at the Spring Faculty Assembly; showcased researchers on the rise during Undergraduate Research Day, and observed the progress of Preeminence: 50-in-5 initiative during a special town hall.

Events such as these are clearly a reminder of the many activities taking place at UH. Soon, we will celebrate even more accomplishments during the Faculty Excellence Awards on May 5 and Spring Commencement ceremonies May 12 – 15.

It is safe to say there’s never a quiet moment at UH, especially when we have talented scholars, staff, and students making an impact within their respective departments and disciplines.

This edition of Cougar Milestones features even more achievements and clearly demonstrates the spirit of our institution and the people who make it a great university.

Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost
