Dear Graduate Students,

Starting in Summer 2023, all UH courses will be taught using the Canvas learning management system. If you want to load a course shell from Blackboard to a future Canvas course, you will be able to request that in all future semesters (dependent on course size).

  • Summer courses can be requested now through the official course request system at http://accessuh.uh.edu .
  • Fall courses can be requested mid-April (after student enrollment begins).

  • Experimental Canvas course shells can be requested for summer or fall now, and these can be converted to actual courses later.

Good resources for migrating a course from Blackboard to Canvas can be found at Preparing Your Course For Canvas Migration .

More information can be found here

Please email canvas@uh.edu with any additional questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Jeff Morgan
Associate Provost for Education Innovation and Technology Director of the Center for Academic Support and Assessment (CASA)
Professor of Mathematics
