Dear NSM Community,

I am pleased to inform you that Dr. Gregory Dudley will join the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics as its next Dean!

Dr. Dudley stood out among a field of talented candidates and will no doubt lead the college toward new levels of success. He is an accomplished researcher, scientist, teacher and academic leader. This experience will help him adapt to his new role and ultimately, benefit the college.

Thank you for your support during the search process. Your participation in the public forums and feedback were most insightful.

I’d also like to extend my gratitude the search committee co-chaired by Drs. Pradeep Sharma and Amy Sater. They worked tirelessly to identify candidates and helped to narrow the field down to Dr. Dudley as the sole finalist.

Lastly, I’d like to commend Dr. Dan Wells on his service as NSM’s Dean. He has served in this role since 2015 and has been an exemplary leader. Dr. Wells has overseen many changes at the college and led a number of initiatives supporting faculty and student success. We’re grateful for his service and know he’ll remain a valuable resource to NSM as a faculty member.

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Dudley to the University and be sure to introduce yourself to him when he arrives in August.

Respectfully,

Diane Z. Chase
