Researcher Awarded $1.5M to Examine Migrant Mental, Physical Health
Amanda Venta, associate professor of psychology, and her team of researchers will study how trauma experienced by migrants before, during and after their journey affects their mental and physical health. Venta was awarded a $1.5M grant from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities to lead the study.

Birds Exhibition Opens at UH Libraries
“The Beauty of Birds” at M.D. Anderson Library celebrates greater Houston’s place as a hub for birds and birders. The exhibit highlights illustrations from rare books of UH Libraries Special Collections and is on display through May 11, 2023.
