University of Houston Student Housing and Residential Life is pleased to announce the staff members hired to the positions of Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) for Moody Towers, the Quad and Student Support and Wellbeing (SSW).
Marquette “Mar” Stricklen joins Gio Howard, as a RLC for Moody Towers this semester. Howard was recently promoted by SHRL from Supervisor of Residential Desk Operations and Community Services (SDOCS) at Cougar Village I. Regina Francis is one of the RLCs for the Quad this year, joining Nakenbe Fleming, who previously served as RLC for Moody Towers. RLCs live alongside residents and supervise Resident Assistants (RAs) and Community Mentors (CMs) in their duties and programming.
Additionally, Chynna Lloyd joined the SSW unit in SHRL this summer. The SSW initiative serves three primary goals, proactive wellbeing development, increased responsiveness to student concerns, and peer support through mentoring.
Furthermore, Erika Pernell is the SDOCS for Cougar Village I. In the SDOCS role, she will provide front-line leadership, supervision, and customer service for the 24-hour residential desk. SDOCS also administratively support student success in their residential area.
Please join SHRL in celebration of the new and promoted staff members.
