Which room types are available for the summer semester?
During the summer semester students can sign up to live in The Quad. If a student occupies a space in Bayou Oaks or University Lofts for the Spring 2021 term their summer room assignment will be in the same space. All rooms in The Quad are in four bedroom/one-bathroom suites.

Will university staff be on campus to help support students in housing?
There will be staff on-call to support students and to respond to emergencies.
How frequently are common areas cleaned?
UH Facilities staff is cleaning and disinfecting daily. All high touch areas, such as door handles, faucet handles, flush handles, elevator buttons, and drinking fountains are disinfected a minimum of two times daily.
When is move out for Summer Housing?
Residents of Bayou Oaks and University Lofts who do not have a fall 2021 housing agreement must move out by noon on July 31, 2021.
Residents of The Quad who do not havean Academic Year 2021/2022 housing agreement must move out by noon on August 13, 2021.
Summer residents who have an Academic Year 2021/2022 housing agreement will be able to stay in a space on campus until the fall term begins. These residents will receive information in mid-July regarding summer to fall intersession housing.
What is housing planning for the fall?
Student Housing and Residential Life is planning to be at full occupancy for Fall 2021. Students who have completed an Agreement are encouraged to assign themselves to a space from March 1, 2021 – May 31, 2021. After May 31, 2021, any students who have not assigned themselves will be assigned to the next available space in which they qualify to live. If you’ve not applied for 2021/2022 Academic Yearfall and wish to please log into your myHousing portal and follow the links to apply. The deadline to cancel without penalty is April 30, 2021 for 2021-2022 Academic Year Agreements.
