Ognjen Miljanic was born in Belgrade (then Yugoslavia) in 1978. He studied Chemistry at the University of Belgrade (BS, 2000) and UC Berkeley (PhD, 2005). After a postdoctoral stay at UCLA with Prof. Fraser Stoddart (2016 Nobel Laureate), he joined the University of Houston as an Assistant Professor. He is currently a Professor of Chemistry and teaches and writes on Energy and Sustainability. His research and teaching have been honored with about a dozen local, national, and international awards.
