Assistant Dean, Academic Programs
Christine LeVeaux-Haley is a political science professor and assistant dean for academic programs at the Honors College. Professor LeVeaux received her bachelor's degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA and her doctorate from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. Her teaching and research interests include legislative politics, Black politics, and political behavior. Dr. LeVeaux has fused these research areas together, focusing much of her attention on minority representation in Congress and Black electoral politics. She is also a political commentator for local and national news outlets, including CNN. Her work appears in the Legislative Studies Quarterly, Political Research Quarterly, and an edited volume titled, Eye of the Storm: The South in an Era of Change.
