HonorsMed

The Honors College at the University of Houston and the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine are partnering to provide students with a conditional acceptance pathway to medical school. The HonorsMed Program is a conditional acceptance program in which students spend four years in the Honors College at UH as undergraduates followed by four years in medical school at the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine. Students selected for this program can pursue any major, but they must complete a bachelor's degree at UH, fulfilling the Honors requirements, as well as the Medicine & Society minor. Matriculation into the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine is contingent upon students maintaining a 3.5 cumulative GPA and scoring a minimum of 500 on the MCAT.

Students interested in the program should apply to the University of Houston, the Honors College, and HMed by deadline of Nov. 1. Selected students will be invited to interview with the Fertitta Family College of Medicine in the spring, and up to six students will be chosen for the program after interviews.
