Program Description

The Honors College Mentored Opportunity (MO) program is a public private partnership that provides students with a transformative, mutually beneficial opportunity to learn and grow not only as professionals but as students and future leaders. Our goal is to provide students with experience and transferrable knowledge that cannot be taught in the traditional undergraduate classroom. Students will participate in day-to-day site-based learning activities under the guidance and expertise of a mentor. Your mentors will play a pivotal role as educators in the development of your character as professionals. In a concurrent classroom seminar, Honors College faculty and guests will cultivate practical intelligence (phronesis) using a curriculum designed to encourage critical reflection about mentored experiences. Students will receive a scholarship to purse their site-based learning experience.
