The University of Houston Staff Council is dedicated to providing UH staff opportunities for professional and academic development.

The 2023-2024 scholarship application period is from February 1, 2023 to March 15, 2023, 5:00 p.m.

The UH Staff Council and the Women and Gender Resource Center are dedicated to providing opportunities for staff members to advance their education by attending classes for degree- or job-related academic credit classes during the fall, spring, or summer semesters at the University of Houston. The Women and Gender Resource Center provides five $1,000 scholarships. Staff Council provides ten $1,000 scholarships.

The Staff Council B. Renae Milton Students of Staff Scholarship provides scholarship assistance to University of Houston students who are dependents of UH staff members. Each year Staff Council awards one $500 scholarship to a student who attends UH. This scholarship was inspired by B. Renae Milton, a UH alumna, long-term staff member, and former Staff Council Program Manager who supported family-friendly policies and put three sons through college.
