SUMMER 2021 AND FALL 2021 ADMITTED STUDENTS
While official copies of your transcripts and certificates of degree are required during your first semester, we will work with students who have degrees conferred late and/or are unable to obtain official credentials due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will post updates regarding this situation as they become available.
In response to the temporary closings of testing centers due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Graduate School will now accept Duolingo English Test, as an alternative to demonstrate English Language Proficiency. The Duolingo English Test score of 105 will be accepted as an alternative to TOEFL and IELTS for proof of English proficiency. Completion of Level 6 of the University of Houston’s Language and Culture Center. (Not all graduate programs waive the English language requirement based on completion of this program. Please consult with your admissions advisor)
