FIXIT Software Generates Meaningful Key Performance Indicators, Receives Award

awardThe FIXIT Service Request system received a major upgrade two years ago to a new CMMS software from AssetWorks and in that short time, the UH Facilities/Construction Management department has become experts in managing the software data and how it can be used.

To showcase how F/CM has used the new CMMS to its advantage, the department attended AssetWorld, an annual gathering of facilities professionals that use AssetWorks’ solutions to better manage their facilities operation.

This year, Director of Facilities Technology Chad Thome and Application Developer 4 Lawrence Dang were invited to present in at AssetWorld, taking place in Allen, Texas and the duo delivered an insightful session on how UH was able to use the power of READY (FIXIT) and AIM to generate meaningful KPIs aimed directly at enhancing customer service.

“It was an amazing opportunity to present and showcase some great achievements by the University of Houston and F/CM,” said Thome.

Dang enjoyed connecting and networking with industry leaders and colleagues.

“It was a great chance to meet with other colleges as well as AssetWorks’ staff to discuss different issues everyone was having as well as the different solutions that worked for each college. By talking with AssetWorks’ staff, I believe we have opened their eyes on what future products to focus on or prioritize,” said Dang.

Additionally, F/CM was awarded the AssetWorld Steve Deines Achievement Award that recognizes outstanding accomplishments in facilities and workplace management using innovative technologies that improve AssetWorks’ suite of products. The award was established in memory of AssetWorks team member Steve Deines.

F/CM is proud to see this transformative change be recognized through this prestigious award.
