Followed the second phase of reopening announced by President Renu Khator on June 2, Facilities/ Construction Management (F/CM) is tirelessly working with the entire UH community to prepare healthy, safe and successful reopening of campus for Fall semester.
To ensure the health and safety of the UH community, Space Management and Analysis Office, in partnership with Building Coordinators and Academic Departments, verified new student seat counts using a 6 feet social distancing standard to enable the Office of the University Registrar to rebuild the fall schedule. All seats will be marked for student use in classrooms and class labs. Most classrooms and class labs will remain configured in their traditional layouts unless the managing academic department deems a new layout necessary.
Outside the classrooms, Facilities Planning has worked with UH Branding to develop a sign package for departments to use throughout the buildings related to maintaining social distancing in public spaces, corridors and elevators.
