Facilities/Construction Managment would like to make the campus community aware of our upcoming construction projects.
The University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work will be undergoing renovations to create an improved modern learning environment for students, researchers, and faculty. The project area has already been marked and is in the process of installing temporary construction fences. The project is expected to be completed by Spring 2021.
As part of campus construction work, driving access at Entrance 14 near the Philip Guthrie Hoffman Hall (PGH) will be impacted. The exit for Entrance 14 will not be available because of the construction; however, the entrance will remain open. The campus will be directing the route into a two-way traffic lane to allow for access for vehicles to safely enter and exit from the same route. In addition, the walkway between Agnes Arnold Hall to the Graduate College of Social Work will be restricted. Pedestrians will need to only use walkways that have been permitted for pedestrian use.
Lastly, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding as construction continues. We understand that the construction occurring on campus could be of inconvenience for those living, working, and commuting in and around the area. We greatly appreciate your patience as we work hard to complete campus renovations to create a beautiful and safe environment for all.
