Jim Airola received his B.S. in engineering from Texas Tech University, and is currently in his third year of study towards a Phd In Economics. A native Houstonian, he has experience as an engineer in the structural steel industry, a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity in Latin America, and as a small business owner/entrepreneur where his company was listed three years in a row on the University of Houston's "Houston's 100 Fastest Growing Private Businesses". He is interested in economic issues in energy, the theory of public choice, the history of economic thought, and is firmly committed to market-based solutions. He is fluent in spanish, loves to travel, and spends most of his free time with his wife, Jill, and four-year-old son Michael.
