Purpose
The Journal of Social Studies and History Education seeks to transform teaching and learning of social studies and history through the dissemination of critical and scholarly educational research. The journal will contain relevant articles, academic book reviews, editorials, columns, and other resources.
Description
The Journal of Social Studies and History Education is a peer-reviewed academic journal published 2 – 3 times per year. We seek manuscripts that address issues and document research tied to social studies and history education - in pre-service teacher education, in-service teaching and learning, and professional development. Specific themes are announced for the upcoming academic year. We seek manuscripts from educators at all levels with the understanding that an academic focus be the design.
Manuscripts
Manuscripts should be submitted as an attachment to the editor via email at cswhite@uh.edu. The author’s name and contact information should be placed only on the title page. The manuscript should be in Microsoft Word, 12pt font, double spaced, numbering at least 15 pages (not including title page or references). References should be in APA style.
