Here is the most current information regarding the Spring 2015 Commencement. This information is subject to change, please check the website below regularly. We will update again as additional information becomes available.

There will be a college specific Convocation on Thursday, May 14th, 2015 at 2:00pm which will take place in Hofheinz Pavilion. This ceremony will include the College of Education, as well as the College of Hotel and Restaurant Management and the College of Technology. Students’ names will be called at the Convocation. The University-Wide Commencement will take place on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 7:00pm at TDECU Stadium. The commencement speaker will be Matthew McConaughey. There will be a ticket system for this event where students will only be allowed to have a select number of guests and individual names will not be called.

Graduates from the full academic year (Fall 2014, Spring 2015, and Summer 2015 graduates) are invited to participate in the annual University Commencement in May 2015. Fall 2014 graduates will receive information on complimentary tickets for themselves and their families, and will join the University Commencement in a special honorary section with their families. Spring 2015 candidates should apply for graduation by the regular deadline of February 27th (late deadline March 27th) and be approved to graduate by their colleges. Summer 2015 candidates must apply for summer graduation by an early deadline of April 17th in order to be considered for participation in the May University Commencement (the Summer graduation application opens April 3rd). Applicants will be “pre-reviewed” by their College to determine whether all remaining coursework and requirements for graduation can reasonably be completed during the summer semester.

There will be a Grad Fair on February 24^th from 9:00 am to 4:00pm at the UH Barnes and Noble Bookstore in the Student Center (formerly known as the University Center), where vendors will be available to take pictures, place orders for announcements, and sell caps, gowns, class rings, and more.

Remember to apply for graduation early to avoid an additional fee. In addition, please make sure your contact information is correct on AccessUH and double check that your UH e-mail account is directed to the correct non-UH e-mail account.
