A grant from Promethean secured by College of Education faculty member, Dr. Sara McNeil, means that 25 interactive whiteboards will be installed in Farish Hall classrooms over the summer. Representatives from Promethean Interactive Whiteboards visited the College of Education to demonstrate the use of their products. The event was well attended and will help faculty, staff and students to readily use these tools to their full potential.
The interactive sessions focused on 21st Century Tools that are available to engage students and empower teachers including: Interactive Whiteboards, Learner Response Systems, Classroom Audio, Document Cameras, Software, and Professional Development resources. The attendees were able to interact using a wireless handheld learner response system called ActivExpression.
