Welcome from the Chair

Welcome to the UH College of Education Department of Curriculum & Instruction! It is my privilege to serve as chair of the department. I have been affiliated with the department since 2012 as a faculty member and have taught courses at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels. 

As a department, we work to provide opportunities for students to develop and enhance the skills necessary for their profession and the leadership capacity to become change agents in their workplaces, whether they work in education, health or other human service fields. We work to impact lives in the greater Houston area, the country and the world. The faculty and staff in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction strive to teach, advise and mentor all of our students to reach their goals.

We offer a variety of degrees and concentrations in face-to-face, hybrid and online environments to meet the needs of both full-time and part-time students. My colleagues and I look forward to working with you. Go Coogs!
