Why did you choose the University of Houston?
My university back home has a partnership with UH so I took advantage of that. Besides, the Hilton College is known to be one of the best ones for Hospitality Management around the globe, and I am so proud that I made that choice.

Please describe your experience as a UH Cougar.
It has been quite the ride. Coming from a different background, I did not what to expect when I moved to Houston. However, UH was welcoming and made me feel like I belonged. There are so many opportunities for Cougars and especially at the Hilton College, I just felt like it was family.

What are your goals post graduation? How has the Cougar Emergency Fund helped you in this pursuit?
I am looking for a job at the moment, to fulfill my OPT. The Cougar Emergency Fund helped me stay on track and be able to take a summer class without suffering the economic effects of the pandemic.

What message would you like to pass along to the UH community?
Hang in there. Every situation is different, but I never lost hope. I am still looking for jobs but UH has been there for me. Both professors and staff members have had my back since I got here, and I am grateful for them.
