February 14th, 2014 - The Office of Admissions is pleased to announce the promotion of Tiffany Anderson to the position of assistant director for freshman admissions in the Office of Admissions. In this new position, Tiffany supervises the freshmen admissions and recruitment team consisting of staff in Houston and throughout Texas in the various regional admission centers. Additionally, Tiffany is responsible for the day-to-day operation in the Welcome Center of the admission counseling.

Tiffany most recently served as the admissions manager where her duties included working with UH’s early college high school initiatives, multicultural student recruitment, staff training, and admissions appeals while continuing to cover an admissions territory in the greater Houston area. Tiffany was instrumental in UH becoming the first university to enter into a full partnership agreement between a university and the KIPP schools and she continues to manage the UH/KIPP partnership. Tiffany joined the Office of Admissions as a freshman admissions counselor almost three years ago and quickly was promoted to admission coordinator before becoming the admissions manager. Tiffany holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining the admissions office, Tiffany worked as a writer/producer for prime-time television shows on NBC and UPN and served as a network publicist for Lifetime Television. She is an active member of both the Texas Association for College Admissions Counseling (TACAC), the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), and the Texas Association for Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO). She currently serves as the Co-Chair for the Houston NACAC National College Fair. Please join the university in congratulating Tiffany on her promotion.
