The University of Houston’s Cougar Cupboard is in partnership with the Houston Food Bank’s Food for Change market network. The cupboard is available to all enrolled UH undergraduate or graduate students who may need access to additional food. Cougar Cupboard is located on the first floor of the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center (in UH Wellness), and is stocked full of fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen/refrigerated foods, and dry goods.

By providing relevant knowledge, skills, and resources, this training is designed to help educators, staff, and students become allies for the undocumented student population in their lives.

Attending this workshop counts as an Elective credit for the RISE Diversity Leadership Certificate Program.

The Nehemiah Center’s mission is to provide assistance to low income families who are invested in seeking a better future for their children through education, emotional wellness and spiritual enrichment. Volunteers for this event will be tutoring kids or playing on a playground with them.
