Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Volunteers are currently needed Tuesdays and Thursdays to help us bring in our deliveries from the Houston Food Bank. The exact times volunteers are needed will be announced through email the day before, as the delivery schedule is not posted until then.

Walk-ins are welcome between 8AM-4PM Tuesdays & Thursdays, though may be turned away if the delivery has not arrived yet. Volunteers may come and go as they are available; it is not required to stay for the full time. We recommend signing up for our email list to receive updates on when volunteers are needed.

Typical volunteer duties include bringing in delivery boxes, sorting through assorted donations and/or fresh produce, and cleaning/restocking the space.

If you would like to volunteer in a group (5+ people), please email us beforehand at uhcupbrd@cougarnet.uh.edu to schedule a time.

Volunteer hours are tracked by the Cougar Cupboard and verification can be provided if needed.

All volunteers are required to wear closed-toe shoes.
