Results of the Coalition Ministries and Congregations Study

A key objective of the CMACS project is to provide coalition and religious leaders with information that will help them achieve their social mission. The report, Focus on Faith-Based Partnerships: Coalitions and Congregations in Social Service Ministry, includes findings from the CMACS survey and field research.

This report is designed to appeal to a broad audience and addresses issues of particular concern to coalition directors, clergy and lay leaders. Information provided in these reports includes:

  • A national profile of faith-based coalitions based on responses from over 650 organizations. This analysis examines coalition mission strategies, programs, resources and congregational partnerships.
  • Congregational leaders’ expectations of coalition partnerships and factors that influence congregational support and volunteering.
  • Recommendations for helping collaborative partners identify strategies that will enhance the value and effectiveness of their partnership.
