CCRF Child Care Tuition Assistance Program

CLC is offering a Tuition Assistance Program, beginning January 2023-May 2023, to help families in need to offset the costs of child care services. This new program, made possible by funding from the 2022 Child Care Relief Fund (CCRF), will provide discounted rates to assist eligible student parents. This money is independent of the UH Scholarships and Financial Aid Office.

CLC administrators review the applications each semester and award CCRF funds to student parents who are Pell Grant eligible and have a remaining need as determined by the UH Scholarships and Financial Aid Office.

Child care tuition assistance awards range up to a 50-70% reduction in weekly child care tuition fees.

Who is eligible to apply?

  • A UH student parent who has a child enrolled at CLC
  • A UH student parent with UH PeopleSoft records indicating:
    • Enrollment as student at UH (minimum 6 credit hours)
    • Good academic standing
    • Federal Pell grant award eligibility (with a FAFSA on file at UH Scholarships and Financial Aid Office)
    • An unmet financial need (after acceptance of UH assistance is processed)

The following items must accompany each application:

  • A copy of your class schedule for the current semester
  • A copy of your UH PeopleSoft Award Summary for Aid Year 2023
  • An short essay describing, “How the CCRF tuition assistance will help you pursue your educational degree.”
  • A copy of your UH PeopleSoft Federal Pell Grant Award (if applicable)

Approved assistance can only be used for the current semester.
