Held on March 3, the 6th Annual Public Official of the Year luncheon honored two elected officials and two appointed officials from the Houston Metropolitan area who have demonstrated the ideals of public service.  This year's honorees were Harris County Judge Ed Emmett, Spring Valley Village Mayor Tom Ramsey, City of Houston Director of Administration & Regulatory Affairs Tina Paez, and City of Richmond City Manager Terri Vela.  The keynote address was delivered by City of Houston Controller Chris Brown.  The event was generously underwritten by former Houston Councilmember Peter Brown and current director of Houston Tomorrow.
