Summary: On a serene New England campus, an emasculated professor (Richard Burton) and his rancorous wife (Elizabeth Taylor, who racked up a Best Actress Oscar) turn an evening of cocktails into an unrelenting onslaught of wrenching disclosures and bellowed epithets.
