HHP's Wheelchair Rugby Camp Featured in the Media.

The HHP department along with the Adaptive Athletics student organization hosted a wheelchair rugby camp from 13th - 16th June 2013. 21 rugby enthusiasts from 7 states took part in the 5 day camp. US paralympian Jason Regier was on hand to coach the players. The first its kind in Houston, the camp was a huge success and was widely featured in the media. Adaptive Athletics @ UH is a student organization which aims to create a UH athletics program for students with disabilities.  The wheelchair rugby camp is the first step toward that goal.
