Annette Fuller, a lecturer at the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication at the University of Houston, is editor of Where to Retire, a 200,000-circulation magazine published in Houston six times a year. The magazine profiles good retirement cities and provides features about retirement relocation issues.

Fuller, who has a degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has been a lifelong journalist, working at daily newspapers including The Dallas Morning News, the Indianapolis Star, the Baton Rouge Advocate and the Winston-Salem (NC) Journal. She also worked as managing editor of the Denton Record-Chronicle in Texas.

From 2007 to 2010, she worked internationally, first as a consultant for the U.S. Department of State promoting international-standards journalism in Algiers, Algeria, in North Africa, and later as a trainer and editor at China Daily in Beijing. She has taught journalism as an adjunct at the University of North Texas in Denton, the University of Algiers and the Communication University of China in Beijing.
