The Mayor's Back to School Fest, 2014

For the second year, COMD participated in the Mayor’s Back to School Fest, hosted by Mayor Annise Parker and housed at the University of Houston. Thousands of children and their families came to get geared up for the new school year with supplies and information. COMD faculty and staff, as well as many undergraduate NSSHLA students, shared handouts on typical communication development and encouraged the children to try tongue twisters and vocabulary games. Additionally, the faulty members were able to answer questions and provide avenues for support for anyone with concerns about communication disorders.
