CMAS Faculty Affiliates

As a central feature of its mission, The Center for Mexican American Studies seeks to establish and maintain a multidisciplinary faculty affiliate network. Affiliate status is intended to provide formal recognition of the contributions of faculty to scholarship that focuses on Mexican Americans and Latinos in the U.S.

CMAS seeks to support faculty research, scholarship, and interdisciplinary collaborations by engaging a community of scholars and community members in academic and policy-relevant seminars and conferences, internships, mentoring, workshops, graduate and postgraduate fellowships, and by facilitating the dissemination of faculty affiliates’ scholarship to local, state, and national communities. CMAS Faculty Affiliates publish in academic and policy venues, speak at CMAS events, teach courses focused on Mexican Americans and Latinos in the U.S., contribute to the CMAS Working Paper Series and Fact Briefs, and contribute to the local and national conversation on the pressing social problems that impact Latinos.
