Bombay Bebingka’s Many Travels Food, Colonialism, and Diasporic Identities in India and Asia

A public lecture by Dr. Anna Romina Guevarra, Founding Director of the Global Asian Studies Program & Associate Professor of Sociology University of Illinois, Chicago

This talk explores the spatial and temporal configurations of global/local foodways using a dessert, bibingka’s/bebinca’s multivalent culinary trajectories in South and Southeast Asia.
