Clyde Arnold (Economics, ’71, M.A. ’73) is the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Northern State University.
Mike Brem (History, ’79, M.B.A. ’81, J.D. ’90) has been named partner in the law firm of Schirrmeister Diaz-Arrastia Brem, LLP.
Jo Anne Davis-Jones (Radio, Television and Film, '79) is Managing Editor of The University of Houston Magazine in the UH Division of University Advancement. She is also an actor at The Ensemble Theatre, where she played the lead in the 2009 production of Christmas With Great Aunt to rave reviews.
Gray H. Miller (History, ’74, J.D. ’78) was approved unanimously by the Senate Judiciary Committee to serve as U.S. district judge for the southern district of Texas.
Robert Wuhl (Radio and TV, '76) thoroughly enjoyed the success of ARLI$$ for all of its seven seasons on HBO. He currently stars in another HBO series, Assume the Position with Mr. Wuhl. Wuhl has also been critically praised for his work in films such as Bull Durham, Batman, Good Morning Vietnam, Mistress, Blaze, and Cobb. In 1996, he directed, wrote, and starred in his own independent feature, Open Season, a hilarious and biting satire of the TV rating system. Wuhl has been honored twice with Emmy Awards, in ’91 and ’92 for writing the Academy Awards telecasts hosted by Billy Crystal. He has also received a CableAce Best Actor nomination from the first season of Tales of the Crypt (directed by Richard Donner). Another edition of Assume the Position was released in 2007.
