How is art good for me?
Art
is
a
stress-buster.
Chances
are
you
or
someone
you
know
is
more
stressed
than
they
should
be.
With
heavy
workloads,
financial
worries,
juggling
social
obligations,
and,
dare
I
say
it,
a
pandemic
of
historic
proportions,
how
is
one
supposed
to
stop
and
catch
their
breath?
Well,
one
research-based
suggestion
is
to
take
a
moment
to
really
look
at
art.
Studies
have
shown
that
simply
viewing
art
can
reduce
stress
levels
in
the
viewer.
While
not
everyone
can
afford
the
time
or
money
to
take
an
art
class
or
visit
a
museum,
UH
is
blessed
with
a
fabulous
collection
of
public
art,
easily
accessed
(for
free!)
by
simply
taking
a
walk
around
campus.
Color
Field
is
one
temporary
exhibit
among
many
art
pieces
on
display
on
UH
grounds.
