Shakira Smith, MSEd (she/they)

Shakira is a dual-major doctoral candidate and a LPC-Intern with six years clinical experience. She has trained in private practice settings, on college campuses, and in two major regional hospitals.

As a doctoral intern, Shakira aims to build a radical healing practice which can better serve LGBTQIA+, transgender/non-binary/GNC, and Black, Indigenous, + people of color folks. She holds a holistic view of emotional wellness, considering health and interpersonal relationships as integral to overall wellbeing.

Shakira most appreciates working with folks seeking support for relationships and intimacy, marginalization, and trauma. Her practice is kink, fetish, and polyamory affirming, as well as sex- and body-positive.
