Ramyasri (Ramya) Matam, MS, MA, LPC (she/her)

Ramya has five years of clinical experience providing individual, couples, and group therapy as well as crisis management support, substance use treatment, and trauma-informed care to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. She has previous experience working in private practice and hospitals and has been working in university counseling centers for the past two years. Ramya works primarily from a Humanistic, person-centered approach to psychotherapy and seeks to join her clients’ journey in order to encourage and empower them in their lives. She is passionate about working in the college counseling field and is excited to continue this work at UH. Ramya is a student affiliate member of the American Psychological Association and the Asian American Psychological Association, Division on South Asian Americans.
