Engaging with Texas Lawmakers for Federal Budget Funding

In this virtual seminar, UH Government Relations will discuss how researchers can engage with Texas lawmakers during the federal appropriations process, with the goal of obtaining either programmatic funding or Community Project Funding support from one of the members of the Texas Congressional delegation.
Attendees will learn how to submit their request for review to the Government Relations team, how submitted proposals are generally assessed, what makes for a strong proposal, and both the timeline and process of working with members of Congress through the appropriations process.
