Tuesday, October 25, 2022
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

This talk takes us back to an Indian past when in the late 1700s, British colonial employees in India were reduced to bankruptcy and vagrancy at the end of their service. It explores an ecology of finance and futures that is rarely recognized as an important and complex source of their modern counterparts, i.e., the emergent financial technologies of our times.
