American Pre-Dental Organization General Body Meeting

The American Pre-Dental Organization (APDO) is an organization at the University of Houston that began its journey in the fall of 2016. We strive to provide necessary guidance to our members which will allow them to excel as a dental applicants. We aim to do so by providing our members with various dental and non-dental related volunteer and leadership opportunities that will allow them to stand out as dental applicants. With many events planned for the upcoming year, we are excited to accompany all of our members on their paths into the field of dentistry.

Fall 2020 Meeting Schedule:

Virtual Involvement Fair: 8/31 and 9/1 from 1-3 pm

First General Meeting:  9/10 at 6 pm 

• Primary introduction to APDO (membership dues & schedule run down) Intro. to mentor-mentee program

Second General Meeting: 9/23 at 6 pm 

• UTSD Houston Assistant Dean of Admission’s guest speakers Dr. Ralph Cooley and Dr. Robert Speers 

Third General Meeting: 10/1 at 6 pm

• Dental Air Force recruiter alumni guest speaker.
• DAT workshop #1

Fourth General Meeting: 10/8 at 6 pm

• Dental student panel and Q&A
• DAT workshop #2

Fifth General Meeting: 10/22 at 6 pm 

• Registered Dental Assistant workshop

Final General Meeting: 11/12 at 6 pm

• Member of the Year DAT Destroyer give away
