The Permian - Geologic Value Creation in CO2 Utilization
Thursday, August 27, 2020
10:30 am - 12:00 pm
The Permian is a vast resource that has been aggressively developed for CO2 EOR - but as we look into the future, the value of pore space is crucial to massive CO2 storage. The region has a globally differentiated capacity to store CO2 as the challenges of the energy transition and CO2 emissions reduction is central to the solution. The next phase for Texas is a comprehensive approach to capturing CO2 from industrial sources along the USGC and connecting the captured CO2 to this world’s leading repository for CO2 storage. The benefits to the environment are impactful - but we see a significant accretive impact to the TX economy and our US O&G and energy industry.
