“Farthest Out to Sea: Homer and Ireland”

This in-person event scheduled for January 28-29, 2022, entitled “Farthest Out to Sea: Homer and Ireland,” will bring together faculty working in English, Honors, Classics, and Irish Studies at the University of Houston and the University of St. Thomas to present lectures and discussion on the interconnections between Irish literature and the ancient Greek Homeric epics. coming
out
entitled
Time
and
Identity
in
Ulysses
and
the
Odyssey.
At
the
end
on
Saturday
we
will
have
a
ceilidh
with
the
Celtic-Americana-Roots
band
Beyond
the
Pale.
