A spring studio led by faculty members Donna Kacmar and Susan Rogers sought to extrapolate the risks made visceral through Harvey as a means to examine possible future mitigation and scenarios. What future city do we imagine, how can we prepare for future disasters, and how might we get there? The studios’ research efforts focused on five scales (S, M, L, XL, XXL) ranging from the household scale to the scale of the city. The design efforts focus on exploring three scales of transformation across three parameters – preparing, reacting and recovering for and from a disaster. See more.
